I’m the man with a plan
I got a big wingspan
My feet R so quick
My dancing real slick
The jelly man you gotta see
The jelly man will set you free
The music starts 2 groove
I’ll show you how 2 move
Both your feet will jump
All the suckers you will trump
The jelly man U gotta see
The jelly man will set U free
U won’t get 2 B like me
But a better dude U'll be
Try it and U'll be alive
You can really jive
The jelly man U gotta see
The jelly man will set U free

We’re snowed in
So what to do
Well sweet thing
I’m looking at you
How about it
What do you say
A great thing
To do today
That was good
You did just fine
That was really
A good time
How about another
It would be great
A real good reason
To celebrate
Are you sure
You have it in you
Remember you
Are not twenty-two
I can do it
Yes my dear
Pass that crossword
Over here

They're sitting at breakfast
At the local shop
Making up stories
Of the feats they once topped
As the coffee is poured
And the bacon so crisp
They tell of heroics
That they did at great risk
Chorus:
But it’s all done in good fun
And they all know the game
It’s fun to tell others
Of fictional fame
Their attire is quite sporty
With logos so bright
They talk of the days
When they fought the fight
The stories are fables
Falsehoods and such
The truth of the matter was
That they never did much
Chorus:
But it’s all done in good fun
And they all know the game
It’s fun to tell others
Of fictional fame
But it’s done in good fun
And they all know the game
It’s fun to tell others
Of fictional fame

My Baseball Glove
When I was just a youngster
I got a baseball glove
Quite pretty and quite stiff
But a thing I was proud of
I went up to the sports store
To buy some neatsfoot oil
I rubbed and rubbed and rubbed
It was sure a lot of toil
At last the glove was nice and soft
The ball stuck in the pocket
My brother had a real strong arm
He threw it like a rocket
When we were in a game
And got the last guy out
We threw the glove upon the grass
While batting came about
I wonder where my old glove is
I sure wish I had kept it
I’d love a game of pitch and catch
With this great old glove that fit

My Favorite words by @srcoops
What’s your very favorite treat
With me, it’s apple pie
Although there’s lots to choose
It’s the apple of my eye
Some folk like ice cream cake
And with me it’s sure OK
It tastes good and cools your mouth
But the pie still wins the day
The combination that it has
With sugar and tart apple
Is just too much for other treats
To win the dessert grapple
Now I like all the apple pie
But my wife’s is still the best
I hope you get a chance someday
To put it to the test

Daughter (ft Gordon)

|
||
Do you have a little girl
A daughter just like mine
She’s been a special one for me
For a really long long time
When she was just so tall
She’d smile at me and laugh
She’d help me open letters
I got from my old staff
As she got a little older
So did our closeness grow
Whenever I could see her
It made the dark clouds go
When she found the one to marry
And we waited on the aisle
She was the shining beauty
Just look at that great smile
Things are not the same
She’s a married woman now
But we’ll never lose that love
It will stay with us somehow

Sleep eludes me
As I rise this morning
The day half started
With dawns adorning
I look in on her
She is sleeping so well
Will this continue
Too early to tell
Her peaceful face
Gives me pleasure
This lovely girl
Is quite a treasure
I start the coffee
And hope that this
Brings not an end
To her peaceful bliss
This time is right
Blessings to count
As day by day
The good things mount

Time (ft Woolford Scott)
01:41
|
|
||
No one knows
The time to go
It might be long
It could be low
How are you
Gonna use this time
Make a difference
Or let it slide
In my own case
The time is short
Push real hard
In the time afforded
Realistically I can’t
Do much
If I haven’t done it yet
It’s out of touch
So use your time
As best you can
You never know
Your life's plan

Old Folks (ft Gordon)
01:38
|
|
||
I doubt if you were ever told
What it means to be real old
Things that are great fun for you
Are the things we used to do
You paint toes with shiny gold
We’re busy buying Dr. Scholls
You’re at the gym working out
We’re treated for the gout
You see a girl, oh what a sight
We ask if she can drive at night
Your parties go until real late
Ours break up just after eight
It’s not great fun to be so old
And our ills are often told
But regardless of this jive
We’re still real glad to be alive

Every morning
When I jump out of bed
The song of the day
Comes into my head
It may be old
It may be new
Might know the words
Or might know only a few
Chorus:
It might be Yellow Submarine
Or the Road to Mandalay
She'll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain
Or could it be your special day
The Sidewalks of Peoria
Could come into my mind
Or a snappy modern song
That I have chanced to find
From Ave Maria
To Anchors Away
The songs keep coming
They just don’t miss a day
Chorus:
It might be Yellow Submarine
Or the Road to Mandalay
She'll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain
Or could it be your special day
Bridge:
I guess it could be
A whole lot worse
Hang around and
I’ll sing you a verse
Chorus:
It might be Yellow Submarine
Or the Road to Mandalay
She'll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain
Or could it be your special day - Happy Birthday

Ol Jim was having company
The neighbors coming in
To catch up on the news
And do some talking with him
Well, the talk was dull
Wasn’t going nowhere
And before you knew it
Jim fell asleep in his chair
Now Jim’s good wife
Was embarrassed to death
Didn’t know what to say
Couldn’t catch her breath
Jim just smiled and
Went on as if
Everyone fell asleep
Took a nap for a jif
Jim’s wife was embarrassed
She called the next day
Jim went on doing
Things his own way

My knees don’t work
And my muscles jerk
But I’m a happy man today
My brains not bad
Disposition’s not sad
So everything’s OK
You can’t be down
And wear a frown
Over a thing or two
Keep your chin up
And see your cup
Half-full in gratitude
Negativity
Will take you down you see
A loser for you dude
Put a smile on your face
Join the human race
The best way you can go
Keep this stuff in mind
And you’re sure to find
Happiness head to toe

It’s kind of sad
That so many greats
Who played so well
Are gone
Their talents are lost
They play no more
They’ve played
Their final gig
Chorus
But their music lives
It’s with us still
What a gift
What a treasure
Louie’s been gone
Oh These many years
We still can
Hear him blow
Sax solo 16 bars
Chorus
Ella was
Among the best
Her great voice
Still gives me a thrill
The great ones
Are not lost to us
But live in their
Recordings today
Chorus

With all that’s going on
Keeping straight is hard I find
But one thing is always there
You are foremost in my mind
In the midst of madness
You come shining through
Confusion tries to reign
But number one is always you
I never let this leave me
I’m a very lucky man
I spend my time with you
Every moment that I can
It has been a long long time
Since you walked down that aisle
I will never lose the memory
Of your sweet outstanding smile
It is so important
That in you I find
One so very perfect
You are foremost in my mind

The place we live
Is for the old
Our family grown
The house was sold
It’s a place
You’d like to be
The people here
Care you see
Whenever people
Are hurt or ill
They always come
They always will
The only problem
That gets us down
Is when old death
Comes to town
When someone leaves us
The flag goes low
It seems to dip
Every day or so
I guess when you
Are 85
You should be glad
To be alive

You might think that winning
Is done upon the field
Well in this space today
The key will be revealed
Starts out at the moment
When you get out of bed
Choose your clothes wisely
Don’t wear blue but red
How To Win at Games
Listen for goodness sake
If you do what I say
could be your lucky break
go outside right quickly
your team’s flag display
This will help to make it
A quite successful day
get into your family car
And start to drive it south
The band plays so very well
The songs come out your mouth
`
How To Win at Games
Listen for goodness sake
If you do what I say
could be your lucky break
Now you might think that
This routine is really pretty silly
But I learned this strategy
From my good ol’ uncle Willy
How To Win at Games
Listen for goodness sake
If you do what I say
could be your lucky break

WALKING SLOWLY
WITH A CANE
THEN IT HAPPENED
ONCE AGAIN
YOU FEEL IT
AND YOU KNOW THE REST
YOUR SENSE OF BALANCE
FAILED THE TEST
IT IS SO HUMBLING
LYING THERE
BECAUSE YOUR BODY
TOOK TO AIR
LEGS TOO WOBBLY
TO LEAVE THE GROUND
LOTS OF PEOPLE
COMING ROUND
SIR......SIR.....SIR....
SIR, WE MUST
CALL EMS
MY LIFE HAS TURNED
INTO A MESS
MY LIFE HAS TURNED
INTO A MESS
MY LIFE HAS TURNED
INTO A MESS

Free Man (ft Gordon)
02:08
|
|
||
I am free
I have no job
The kids are gone
No working in the yard
No men’s clubs
No dog to walk
That goes for kitties too
Life is certainly not hard
I do whatever comes to mind
Do nothing if I please
I take a nap each afternoon
Just grin and let it go
The only thing that interferes
Is that this means you’re old
But if you can handle that
Life’s as good as gold

I’m going out for breakfast
Nice way to start the day
Don’t know what I will order
It’s really hard to say
I always like the pancakes
With lots of syrup too
I like to add some eggs
And a bacon strip or two
I know how to cook these things
I do it most every day
But it’s nice to have another
Put it out another way
The company makes no difference
A friend or my dear one
Eating out for breakfast
Is just a lot of fun

Feature (ft ZeCoop)

His phone was the very best
It had a bunch of features
It would help you find your way
And show you wild creatures
Oh, it was a fancy model
Built to be really slim
Oh, you could text like anything
It told the time of day
Reminded you of meetings
And also the right date
Oh, it was a fancy model
Built to be really slim
Oh, it was a fancy model
Built to be really slim
But the one thing that it was lacking...
The darn thing couldn’t swim

Winter (ft Gordon)

|

Snow falls and paints the ground
Trees wear their white cloaks
Children making angel forms
Fireplace with kiln dried oak
Many things of beauty come
When the sun is in the south
We raise our toasts and toddys
To warm our lucky mouths
Our minds fall fast asleep
To the plight of those in need
Who wander without home or food
And suffer in the freeze
In a season when Christmas comes
We should reach out to these
And meet the needs of suffering folk
Instead of Christmas trees
